Lewis Street Glass History

Red Becker founded Lewis Street Glass in 1919. The business began as a one-stall shop on Lewis St. and grew to a 23,000 square foot facility.  George Bradshaw and his wife Barb ran the business with Red until he retired in 1973.

George and Barb’s daughter Deb and her husband, Bob Crager, came on board in 1975 after he completed his service for the US Air Force in Germany. Bob Bradshaw and Bob Crager became partners in 1982 when George retired.

Experience Spanning Centuries

Bob and Deb Crager purchased the building and the other half of the business, becoming sole owners, in 1994. The business continued to grow and expand, offering commercial, residential and automotive glass services. In 2003, Lewis Street Glass expanded to the current location at 743 S. Market. Bob & Deb’s children, Lonnie and Jani, became partners a decade later. Both worked in the business since high school and joined full time after college.
